GPS tracking system
GPS tracking is one of the technologies with the greatest increase in recent times. This technology uses radio waves transmitted unilaterally by satellites and which are received by the module of the device "GPS", as well as the waves of the system "GPRS" which we know as "mobile phone", which are received by the telephone module of the device equipped with SIM card. The integration of these two systems into one device enables us to track in real time the vehicles and various moving objects.
GPS tracking lets you know the location of vehicles at any time.
Highly accurate monitoring of the fuel level in the tank (fills/discharges).
Vehicle maintenance records.
You will directly monitor some parameters of the vehicle.
The route and other data are stored for a specified time.
Email notification for predefined events.

GPS tracking
GPS tracking today is an integral part of the elementary measures for the development of a business which in the nature of work contains vehicles. It is being extended to stationary equipment and machinery as well. Each object to which the GPS device is installed, by communicating with mobile telephony network GPRS service, in almost real time you will know its location, as well as many other parameters. In addition to being able to track the necessary settings in real time, they will be stored in the GPS tracking system for a set amount of time, enabling you to generate an infinite number of reports necessary for extracting various statistics relevant to your business.
To provide an affordable service for any business, we divide the services into two packages:
- Tracking within Kosovo – where the service operates only while the vehicle is within Kosovo mobile network, and
- Tracking inside and outside Kosovo – where the service operates regardless of borders in all counties in the world. In the basic package are included 95 countries, where, however, all European countries are included. Regardless of the countries when the vehicle is located in, the GPS tracking device works with the same features and offers all the possibilities of monitoring and control.
Real time vehicle monitoring
While your vehicle is equipped with a basic GPS tracking device, in addition to location as the main information obtained through this technology, you will also be able to see a considerable number of your vehicle parameters, such as:
- speed;
- engine condition (on/off)
- battery voltage until the engine is off
- alternator voltage while the engine is running
- kilometers
- etc.
Whereas if your vehicle will be equipped with advanced GPS tracking device (recommended for trucks), then depending on the type and age of the vehicle, in addition to the data received from the basic device, you will be able to see more more vehicle parameters, such as:
- fuel level read from CAN;
- engine RPM
- total kilometers of the vehicle
- engine temperature
- etc.
Shutdown of the vehicle from the GPS tracking system
The devices that are used to track vehicles through GPS also contain a set of digital and analog electrical circuits through which we can monitor and control the vehicle.
Turning off the vehicle via remote control
By connecting to several active vehicle circuits, the GPS tracking device manages to turn off the vehicle in real time by executing certain commands. These devices manage to perform the same function even in case of exceeding the predefined limits of any parameter, such as: speeding, careless driving, exit or entry in a certain area, etc.
Fuel monitoring
Companies such as: manufacturing, trading, distributing goods, etc. one of the most important part of their business have transport. Depending on the nature of their work and volume, they have a number of vehicles, from a few to a few dozen, or even more.
Among the main challenges of these companies is the monitoring of fuel (oil) consumption.
In our GPS tracking system we have several variants to monitor fuel consumption. They are:
- Calculation of consumption through pre-defined average values for summer / winter seasons, separately;
- Reading the tank level by reading the vehicle CAN data, and
- Installation of additional sensor (probe) in the tank.
Consumption calculation through average values predetermined for summer/winter seasons, separately- recommended for small vehicles whose consumption does not vary much depending on the load or terrain of the road traveled. This group includes small transport vehicles, such as: cars, pickups, vans, etc.
Reading the tank level by reading the vehicle CAN data- small and medium transport vehicles we install an additional device which can read the vehicle CAN data. This fuel monitoring mode is recommended to be installed on vehicles moving on long distances. This group includes small and medium vehicles, such as: cars, pickups, vans, trucks, small trucks, etc.
Installation of additional sensor (probe) in the tank- it is a capacitive level sensor recommended for large transport vehicles which are equipped with a tank with a volume of several hundred to over 1000 liters. Monitoring the fuel consumption of these vehicles is very important. Capacitive level measurement offers very high accuracy, which usually, depending on the size of the tank, is around 300 ml.
History
The history of movement and other parameters of the vehicle is one of the most important feature of the GPS tracking system.
Our tracking system stores data for a set amount of time. You can return to view this data at any time and for any period of time. For any period of time you are looking for, the map will show you the route of the vehicle, and at the same time will show the graph for any parameter of the vehicle related to the GPS device. Along with the movement route on the map will be displayed all the vehicle data read by the GPS device, and vehicle stops. Any stop of the vehicle for more than 1 minute will be recorded as parking. Each parking sign shown on the map will contain the stopping time, the departure time and the duration of the stay.
Reports
All data stored in the system database can be used in many ways by processing and filtering, so that we have the ability to extract various reports.
Reports can be generated instantly, or configured for automatic generation on a periodic basis, such as: daily and weekly. The system will automatically send reports to your predefined email.
Vehicle maintenance planning
GPS tracking system along with the data obtained from the vehicle parameters also contains a database which can be filled with a lot of other vehicle data for which periodic maintenance is required, whether based on calendar time, working hours or kilometers.
The data that are most often entered in this database are:
• Vehicle maintenance (engine oil, filters, etc.)
• Technical control
• Registration
• Firefighting equipment
• Tachograph
• Etc.
For each of these interventions, a period of time or kilometers are defined after which the system will inform you in advance about the expiration of time, working hours or kilometers.
Using this data, the tracking system will notify you prior to the expiration of any of the above parameters.
Events & notification
Referring to the normal operating conditions of the vehicle, for each parameter we can define the range of normal values. In case the values of the parameters come out, respectively, from the predefined values, we can configure the system for its identification, in which case the system will inform us via email.
One of the most used events by the system is the so-called “Power Disconnected” and “Weak Battery” event.
“Power disconnected”- this event will be detected by the GPS tracking system if in any way the power of the GPS device is cut off, which usually happens if the vehicle battery is disconnected, GPS is removed from the vehicle, or in any way the GPS power supply was cut off. If this happens, the system will send an email immediately as well as record the event in the vehicle history.
“Weak battery voltage”- this event will be evidenced if we set the lowest voltage level of battery in normal condition. For example, vehicles usually have a voltage of 12.5 / 24.5 V while the engine is off, or 13.8 / 27.5 while the engine is running. During the long stop, there are vehicles whose battery voltage drops. If we define the lower limit of the voltage band as 10/20 V, then if the voltage of the battery drops below this level, the system will send an emails immediately, as well as record the event in the history of the vehicle.
Job list
Among other things, our GPS tracking system has the ability to record the work performed by each vehicle. If the driver use a certain application on its smartphone, the tasks can be sent directly to the driver.
Each task contains all the accompanying details in order to provide complete evidence of the work of each vehicle as well as driver.
